Facilities over 3,000 HP are required to have licensed 1-A Gold Seal Operators (stationary engineers) in a Chief Engineer assignment or operator coverage for facilities in any capacity range.
Responsibilities of Engineer for the license:
Responsibilities vary greatly at this licensed level since this qualifies the operator by state code to operate a standard packaged boiler over 3,000 HP capacity or a power generation facility over 20,000+ HP capacity.
